Situated at the entrance to the complex, and open 7 days a week, our 20-Bay covered Driving Range offers the ideal environment for members and guests to perfect their techniques. Beside the range is a practice putting green and bunker and there is a second putting green next to the Clubhouse itself.

Individual tuition is available from £18.00 - £23.50 per 30 minute session, and Roly Hitchcock and his team have gained an excellent reputation for coaching. Jamie Moul, the England International and Walker Cup team player who has just turned professional, was a Junior Member at Stoke by Nayland and started his training here.

Olympic swimmer, Karen Pickering MBE has also learned how to play golf from scratch at Stoke by Nayland, where she is now a member.

Junior Coaching:
Junior tuition is a speciality at Stoke by Nayland, and the caliber of the Junior members is superb. Indeed, the Stoke by Nayland Junior Team of 8 players won the 2005 UK Final of the Sunday Telegraph Junior Team Golf Home Nations Inter-Club Championship in La Manga, out of 1400 clubs in the UK. Every boy in the team had been coached by our Professional staff – a fantastic accolade!

If you have a son or daughter who is seeking to take up the game, or improve their ability there is no better venue than Stoke by Nayland for young up-and-coming golfers, and our Junior section is now officially one of the most successful in the country. The Young Masters Golf Academy at Stoke by Nayland trains youngsters from 6 to 16 years of age in the etiquette, rules and techniques of golf. The classes are held on Saturday and Sunday afternoons and cater for total beginners right up to fully competent golfers. These youngsters are then set up for a lifetime of enjoyment with the game.

Stoke by Nayland Golf Club is also a host venue to the Sports Academy which offers a full time 2 year course to train 16 to19 year olds to pursue a career in all aspects of the Golf Industry.

Ladies Coaching:
The Lady Masters Golf programme is an exciting new concept, making golf more accessible to ladies and providing a step-by-step introduction to the game. You do not have to be a member of the Club, or even have to own a set of clubs to get started – learning golf has never been easier!

After a practice session or lesson all golfers are welcome to have a drink or meal in the relaxed atmosphere of the brand new Golfers’ Bar or Gallery Lounge in the Hotel Clubhouse, both of which overlook the lake, 1st tee and both 18th greens and tees. You can also browse over the extensive range of golfing equipment and clothing in our well-stocked newly-extended Pro Shop. Well known brands on offer include Callaway, Ping, Titleist, Galvin Green, Cleveland, Lyle & Scott and many more.
